Early Education or Not?

Early education should include the growth of physical, emotional, intellectual, personality and spirit.  Intellectual development is necessary, but acquiring knowledge is not its goal. Dialogue and interaction should be the essence of early education.  The most important is that children can grow up healthy and happy accompanied by their parents.  There are several good ways to conduct early education.  

The first way is the principle of interest.  We cannot expect two- or three-year-old babies to learn with will and effort, but as long as the children are interested, they can focus on one activity for long period.  If the parents find their children's interests, they can create a lot of teaching situations for children to learn literacy and reading. 

The second way is learning from life.  There are ready-made teaching materials everywhere around us, and children are very interested in them.  For example, let the children read the texts or pictures on a variety of household items, which can not only develop their reading skills, but also help them, expand their living space.  "What do you want to drink?"  Only when my daughter speaks out the words on the bottle "yogurt" do I let her drink.  Through these exercises, the speaking ability of my daughter is improving quickly.  

The third way is educational principles.  Two- or three-year-old is the best period of observation and imitation, but they don’t know what is right and what is wrong (Ding, 2010).  So we should make a good example through our words and deeds for them.  For example,  sometimes my daughter throws things on the ground, then I will pick it up, take it, lead my daughter to find the trash, give it to my daughter and ask her to cast it into the litter.  That is how she basically develops a good habit to throw waste to the trash.
