Nepalese Ambassador to China Congratulates the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China: I am willing to continue to make great strides in the future

China Daily, Beijing, September 20 (Reporter Mo Jingxi) The Nepalese Embassy in China held a National Day reception in Beijing on the 19th. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui, representatives of some state ambassadors to China and diplomatic missions, representatives from various circles in Nepal and media representatives attended the reception.

Lira Mani Bauder, Nepal’s ambassador to China, said in a welcome speech that China is Nepal’s all-weather friend, a reliable neighbor and a major development partner. China’s economic progress will be an opportunity for Nepal’s social and economic development.

Bauder said that since Nepal and China established diplomatic relations in 1955, the two countries have been working closely together to achieve the common goal of peace, stability and development for the benefit of the two peoples. In the past year, bilateral high-level exchanges have been close and many important bilateral agreements have been signed.

"On behalf of the Nepalese people and government, and in my own name, I would like to thank the Chinese people and the government for their continued support," he said.

Looking ahead, Bower said that both Nepal and China have great potential, and the Belt and Road Initiative provides valuable platforms for deepening multi-disciplinary and pragmatic cooperation, such as infrastructure and connectivity, trade and investment, and civil exchanges.

"In the future, we will work more closely together in a bilateral and multilateral framework to ensure peace, stability and prosperity in our two countries and regions," he said.

He also stressed that Nepal is unswervingly pursuing the "one China" policy and will never allow any forces to engage in anti-China activities in Nepal.

Baudel said that this year is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Over the past 70 years, China has achieved significant milestones in various fields, and hundreds of millions of people have escaped poverty. As neighbors and friends, the Nepalese people are happy for China's development and wish China will continue to make great strides in the future, achieve the goal of "two hundred years" and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

"We believe that China's economic progress will be an opportunity for Nepal's social and economic development," he said.
